It offers disease guides, a toll-free helpline (800-283-7800), and local groups to connect with. Their juvenile arthritis hub offers camps for patients, family summits, and JA Power Packs. Lupus Foundation of America
The Lupus Foundation of America is a national organization focused on support for lupus patients and caregivers. Its National Resource Center on Lupus covers symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and daily life, with sections specifically for children, teens, caregivers, and the newly diagnosed. You can submit questions to a trained health educator and find support groups by state. Spanish resources are at lupus.org/es/resources.
American Chronic Pain Association
The American Chronic Pain Association is a peer-support and educational organization dedicated to people living with chronic pain. It provides self-management guides (including the ACPA–Stanford Resource Guide to Chronic Pain Medication & Treatment), communication tools for doctor visits, a free pain-log mobile app, and a directory of in-person and virtual support groups across the country.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a dedicated arthritis hub, which has reliable overviews of different conditions. It includes sections on rheumatoid arthritis and childhood arthritis, as well as information about common risk factors. It also lists some CDC-recognized self-management and exercise programs. Hospital for Special Surgery
The Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC is one of the top places in the country for rheumatic care and autoimmune disease treatment. But beyond regular patient care, they run dedicated centers for lupus, inflammatory arthritis, scleroderma, vasculitis, and myositis. They also have free support and education programs led by social workers to help patients and families.
